Green smoothies are a great way to increase your daily intake of vitamins and minerals. If possible use organic products- they are not only cleaner, but also contain significantly higher levels of essential vitamins and minerals than produce grown on depleted soils.
1 1/2 cups organic coconut water
2 cups fresh spinach
2 inches fresh ginger
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup frozen mango
4-6 frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Let your frozen fruit and purees thaw for a few minutes. Pour the coconut water into the blender, add the greens, squeeze the lemon into the blender, finally peel & add the ginger and chia seeds. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Fill into glass jars.
