Amari Trading Sending Hurricane Relief

adminCaribbean

Amari Trading is sending 6,000kg of hurricane relief supplies to the island of St.Maarten.

Hurricane Irma, a Cat 5+ hurricane, has hit the NE Caribbean in September 2017 and has left a trail of destruction in its wake. The eye of this powerful hurricane has passed directly over the tiny island of St.Maarten leaving 95% of homes and hotels uninhabitable. Much of the infrastructure, including telecommunications, airport, electricity & water production, has been severely damaged or destroyed.

While the people of St.Maarten are incredibly resilient, they need and deserve our help to get back on their feet and to rebuild an even stronger and better island.

We have decided to help and are now sending 6,000kg of food items directly to churches and soup kitchens on the island. Despite extensive damages, the soup kitchens are operational again and volunteers are cooking and feeding hundreds of people every day.

We are grateful for the support of food companies such as Mestemacher, Byodo and Davert and for their contributions to our relief efforts. Naturally, we are taking care that 100% of our food shipments go to the right places and to the people in need. All food products are organic certified and are used in three soup kitchens as well as packed & distributed in food boxes through our partner churches.

If you would like to support our continued efforts or if you’d like to receive more information, please contact us at sales(a)amaritrading.de.

Thank you!
